Alvin Leaks is the Regional Vice President with Farmer & Betts in the Southeast region. He brings deep expertise and experience to the firm, having worked in the financial industry for over 25 years. Most recently, he has served as a Vice President, Key Account Management, Client Relations and Business Development at GAB International and Prudential Retirement with specific area of expertise with 401(k), 403(b), 457(b) and Defined Benefit Retirement plans.
Starting his career upon graduation from University of Georgia with a BBA/Finance degree, Alvin began his career on the Management Associates Program (MAP) in banking, including commercial lending, retail lending, corporate treasury management, and corporate banking. Later, he entered and developed a passion for the institutional trust industry. He acquired in-depth knowledge and administration of Defined Benefit, Defined Contributions, Non-qualified and Health/Wellness plans.
Alvin has broad experience with pension plan management, operations, administration, consulting and new business development. His core strength is his diverse experience, having been in leadership roles in the industry since 1991.
He specializes in retirement plan design, strategic planning, fiduciary governance, plan operations and compliance. He has expertise with small, medium, large and jumbo retirement plans.
Before becoming a pension consultant, Alvin has been a trusted partner with C-suite on all aspects of retirement planning, from plan design, operations and consulting. He chooses a customized client centered approach balancing tax efficient design and cost effective plan administration.
Because of his passion, background and expertise, he feels confident designing strategic plans that really create efficiencies to help business owners and their employees meet their short, intermediate and long-term goals. It is his desire to be an exceptional listener, bridge-builder, thought leader and create solutions for his clients so he can guide them to achieve optimum success.

He enjoys simplifying complex subjects in a way that clients can see how the plan will benefit them and their business. His objective is to clearly understand his clients goals, define expectations and create strategic direction.
Education and Credentials
Alvin is a Certified Retirement Administrator (CRA), as well as, a Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC). He is currently working toward his Chartered Financial Consultant credential. He also holds various insurance and securities licenses.
Sports: Alvin enjoys all sports and physical fitness activities. Specifically, golf, skiing, tennis, racquetball, basketball and football.
Hobbies: Reading, music (all genres) and travel.
Family: Alvin and his wife have 3 children. Alvin Jr. (College), Joslyn (High School) and Christian (Elementary School).
